MaTeDaS

Dear participants of the MATEDAS 2023 Conference, the organizing committee, together with its partners, has prepared the following program of the Conference and accompanying events.

On Wednesday, May 24^th, 2022, we will welcome the Conference participants to the premises of the Faculty of Military Technology of the University of Defence, at Šumavská 4, Brno. Here you will be provided with a permit to enter the premises and parking.

Registration and opening of the Conference will take place in the morning in the building of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. In the afternoon, the Conference participants will get acquainted with selected areas of activities of the Faculty and especially with the laboratories of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. A tour of the laboratory and production facilities of Tescan, a world leader in electron microscopy, will be offered to those interested.

After a tour of Tescan, all Conference participants will  move together to the village of Lednice, about 50 km south of Brno. Here the main part of the MATEDAS 2023 Conference will take place.

Transportation will be organized by bus, but it is also possible to drive your own car. Due to your departure plans after the conference, this type of transportation may be more convenient for you. If you use the bus, it is possible to leave your vehicles parked at the Faculty premises at Šumavská 4, Brno during the Conference. At the Conference venue in Lednice, parking is available in a public car park.

After accommodation in local hotels, a dinner will be held in the Castle Hotel followed by a free program. Among other things, two professional workshops will be prepared for those interested in the fields of electron microscopy including imaging methods and the defence and security industry.

The main part of the Conference will take place on Thursday May 25^th, 2022 in the Castle Hotel. First, there will be presentations by partners, followed by lectures in four expert sessions. The whole day will end with a surprise social evening.

Friday May 26^th, 2022 will traditionally be reserved for a visit to the IDET 2023 international trade fair in Brno. Conference participants will receive a ticket to IDET 2023 together with the Conference materials. After returning to Brno, Conference participants can visit the fair independently according to their time availability.
