MaTeDaS 2026

We cordially invite you to the 19^th International Conference on Materials and Technologies for Defence and Security. The Conference will take place on from 13^th to 15^th May 2026 in Brno and Lednice, Czech Republic.

The MaTeDaS 2026 Conference focuses on issues of materials engineering and modern technologies for producing special equipment.  It emphasises the integration of theoretical research, experimental development, and industrial implementation. The Conference provides a platform for the exchange of professional knowledge, the presentation of the latest research results, and the sharing of proven experience in the innovation, development, and production of special equipment, including quality assurance. Addressing current technical challenges and sharing experiences in this area strengthens the technical level and reliability of the material equipment of the Czech Armed Forces, while also supporting interoperability with other NATO armies.

The Main topics of the conference include:

• Technologies in the field of security and defence;
• Additive technologies;
• Advanced materials and technologies;
• Biocompatible materials.

The program will include plenary lectures by leading experts, thematic sessions, a poster section, and discussion panels focusing on the current challenges and future development directions.

The Conference will take place at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Military Technology, University of Defence. It will then move to the Castle Hotel Lednice, in the Lednice–Valtice area, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
